Banksy crashes Venice Biennale with an installation that criticizes the city’s cruise ship problem

TwitterFacebook

A new video appeared on Banksy’s Instagram account showing the famous street artist (or perhaps someone from his team) setting up an unlicensed stall in Venice. The installation is interpreted as a critique of the giant cruise ships that are allowed to sail the Venetian lagoon and it seems to have resonated with locals

The artist accompanied his post with the caption: “Setting out my stall at the Venice Biennale. Despite being the largest and most prestigious art event in the world, for some…

‘How to Make a Tyler, The Creator Song’ is a perfect example of music comedy

TwitterFacebook

Game recognizes game.

Sometimes, a musician’s style is so well known and specific that it’s only a matter of time before they get lovingly roasted. Popular “how to make an X song” videos have musicians trying to recreate the sound of their favorite artists, with varying levels of parody and sincerity.

Normally the original artists don’t respond to the appreciative jest, either because of their status or just that they’re card-carrying members of the NFL (the No Fun League.)

But this…

Artists on Twitter are drawing their favorite shipping dynamics for this new meme

TwitterFacebook

Once you’ve binge-watched enough Netflix shows, you start to see a pattern in the characters you get invested in. You might even notice that certain types of romances have you hitting the “Next Episode” button faster than you can say “I ship it.”

Even if you don’t actually read fanfiction in which romantic tropes are clearly defined and amped up to 11 (just check any of the tags on AO3.org or Fanfiction.net), there’s at least one fictional dynamic that hits ya right in the feels, every…

‘Photographs’ is a game about tragedy, heartbreak, and the choices we can’t undo

TwitterFacebook

Photographs is a game about self-made tragedies, and the frozen moments around which our lives pivot.

Creator Luca Redwood is operating about as far from his past hits — You Must Build a Boat and 10000000 — as he can get. While all three games share the common bond of simple-yet-engrossing puzzle mechanics, this new one hinges all of your play to five discrete short stories.

Those sad tales are the bedrock around which the game is built, though there’s very little reading to be done…

Chris Hemsworth has been casually vandalising his fellow Avengers’ movie posters

TwitterFacebook

Chris Hemsworth may be a mighty hammer-wielding god, but that doesn’t mean he’s above the occasional poster-related prank.

On Tuesday, Hemsworth posted an Instagram video from the Avengers: Endgame press tour.

In the clip he can be seen going between the posters of his cast-mates in a corridor, gleefully scrawling glasses on Chris Evans’ face before writing “I heart Thor” on the cheek of Robert Downey…

A tiny computer dreams of becoming a cowboy in this adorable animation

This is One Good Thing, a weekly column where we tell you about one of the few nice things that happened this week.

Do androids dream of electric sheep? Who knows — but tiny computers certainly dream of bitmap horses!

At least this computer does. In an animation titled “a computer dreams of being a cowboy,” your heart will take the hardest hit to the feels from an inanimate object since The Little Toaster
