‘Game of Thrones’ Weekly: There are no big conversations ahead of the last episode

TwitterFacebook

Game of Thrones ends tonight, May 19. After eight seasons, we’ve reached the last episode ever. Why is there so little to talk about?

Fans expected more from what has until the past two seasons been a deeply layered story of court intrigue and bloody revenge. And while we don’t know what HBO and company expected, it certainly wasn’t..this.

Let’s just call Donald Trump’s Kentucky Derby tweet performance art

TwitterFacebook

Donald Trump’s Twitter feed stopped mattering long ago.

Sure, it’s his always-online bully pulpit. He uses it daily to attack enemies and hand down various decrees. But when you strip away all the bluster, Trump is a feckless leader who constantly undermines his own agenda with lies and hatred.

The majority of America sees it at this point (did we ever not?). It’s our national embarrassment.

Every once in a while, though, Trump tweets something so outlandish, so wrong-headed, and so…

TwitterFacebook

A traffic webcam in London has a popular visitor.

Transport for London — the city agency responsible for overseeing public transit in the sprawling metropolis — has 177 live cameras keeping tabs on traffic. A sassy looking bird has been photobombing one of the cams, just above the Blackwall Tunnel (which runs under the River Thames).

Over 2 million people have taken a look at the transit agency’s most recent twitter posting of the white-headed bird, posted on April 30. Who is this…

How every parent can help get rid of toxic masculinity

Welcome to Small Humans, an ongoing series at Mashable that looks at how to take care of – and deal with – the kids in your life. Because Dr. Spock is nice and all, but it’s 2019 and we have the entire internet to contend with.

Youth sports are often pure chaos. I’m the head coach of two girls’ basketball teams and I’ve seen my share of wild behavior. There are coaches cursing at referees like the NBA championship is on the line, and parents who think their 5-year-old is headed…
