Elizabeth Warren takes a ‘hard pass’ on Fox News town hall

TwitterFacebook

Unlike some of her fellow candidates, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) won’t be appearing on Fox News this cycle. She laid down a verbal hammer to explain her decision.

In a tweet on Tuesday morning, Warren called Fox News a “hate-for-profit racket that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracy theorists.” The tweet contained a link to her website and asked visitors to sign a “petition” supporting the decision (i.e., join an…

“Starting today, you can do something new with your Retweets – add a GIF,” Twitter explained in an email to reporters. “Now, the same photos, videos, and GIFs that you…

Netflix’s ‘Someone Great’ is aggressively fine

TwitterFacebook

Not every Netflix movie can be great, even if you invoke greatness in the titleSomeone Great, which feels like a rom-com but technically isn’t, has a crackling cast and snappy dialogue, but it lacks the x-factor of the sparkling original films among which it tries to stand.

Someone Great tells the story of Jenny (Gina Rodriguez) on the day after she breaks up with Nate (Lakeith Stanfield), her boyfriend of nine years. Jenny urges her best friends Blair (Brittany Snow) and Erin (DeWanda Wise)…

Cher sings ‘I Got You Babe’ with her Broadway show cast on Fallon

It’s no mean feat playing a music legend in a Broadway show, but The Cher Show cast give it a red hot go.

However, Cher herself reminded us of the real deal when she joined Broadway’s Jarrod Spector and Micaela Diamond for a performance of her Sonny Bono duet “I Got You Babe” on The Tonight Show.

Honestly, Diamond and Spector do a killer job. But having the Goddess of Pop join the party to belt out her own classic 1965 track is a real treat — and one hell of a time warp.

Makes you want…
