Trump just won two Razzie Awards because his failure knows no bounds

TwitterFacebook

It wouldn’t be awards season without Hollywood taking some healthy distance and noting the year’s worst work in addition to its best. The 39th Golden Raspberry Awards honored identified (convicted?) some of the year’s worst films and performances, including a not-so-fictional on-screen turn by the President himself.

Donald Trump got two Razzies: One for his “performance” in Death of a Nation and Fahrenheit 11/9, and one for constantly choosing to work with his “self-perpetuating pettiness”…

Desus & Mero’s parody of ‘Green Book’ is just *chef’s kiss*

TwitterFacebook

There are plenty of takes out there about the simplistic, and thus problematic treatment of race in the seemingly feel-good Green Book, but we think Desus & Mero explained it best.

In a parody called “The Greenest Book,” which featured in the duo’s debut episode on Showtime on Thursday, they trailer’s VO introduces a “story of a white man… who had the courage to know a black person.”

Featuring a number of the film’s memorable-ish scenes, once you’re done watching this skit, you too can…

‘The Magicians’ confirmed the show’s best ship and the show is better for it

TwitterFacebook

Spoilers ahead for The Magicians, up through Season 4′s “Escape From the Happy Place.”

Syfy’s The Magicians has always been far from the straightest show in television. Its queerness is ever-present, sewn into the fabric of a universe where sex is magic and the relationships between its main characters freely disregard the borders of platonic and romantic love.

Still, even with the backdrop of polyamorous throuples and gay royals, the primary romance on the show has been that of Quentin…

‘The Haunting of Hill House’ renewed as anthology, big Season 2 clue teased

TwitterFacebook

Netflix has conjured up a second season of last fall’s buzzy, spooky drama The Haunting of Hill House.

It will be helmed once again by creator Mike Flanagan but don’t expect to see the Crain family at the center of Season 1 to be the focus. Season 2, titled The Haunting of Bly Manor, will comprise of an entirely different story based on Henry James’s gothic novella The Turn of the Screw.

This essentially labels Hill House as a horror anthology.

You guessed it. The HAUNTING OF BLY…

‘Captain Marvel’ first reactions: A fun, ’90s adventure with a brilliant Carol Danvers

TwitterFacebook

You may believe the hype.

The much-anticipated Captain Marvel had its first screenings on Tuesday night, and the first audiences to watch the film have described it as unlike any other MCU film they’ve seen before, and weirder than you’d expect.

The main take away? Well, as Mashable’s Angie Han put it…

#CaptainMarvel: Well, Thanos is fucked.

Netflix’s Mötley Crüe biopic digs into the band’s debaucherous past

TwitterFacebook

Yep, it’s another music biopic.

This time, it’s not just about any act: It’s about Mötley Crüe, one of the most debaucherous rock bands to have ever graced this Earth.

The Dirt relives the band’s highs and lows, and is based on the similarly-titled book they released in 2001.

Founding member and drummer Tommy Lee is played by Machine Gun Kelly, with Douglas Booth as Nikki Sixx, Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars, Daniel Webber as Vince Neil, while Pete Davidson takes on the role of Elektra A&R…
