The polarizing Black Mirror Season 4 episode “Hang the DJ” depicted a futuristic dating app in which an AI called “Coach” only gives daters a set amount of time — 12 hours, or even 12 years — to date a potential partner before they must move on to their next match. 

Now, of course, somebody has actually built an app inspired by the somewhat dystopian system. First spotted by Forbes, it’s called Juliet and is available for free in the App…

Redditor u/bork1138 took a picture of their parents’ heartwarming tradition of competing in Mario Kart 64 to decide who has to make the daily tea. According to bork1138, they’ve been doing this “religiously” for the past 18 years. 

Here’s a photo of the couple in an almost identical position in 2014:
