How to watch the Prime Day concert tonight (yup, that’s happening)

TwitterFacebook

This year’s Amazon Prime Day Concert is happening tonight, July 10, at 9 p.m. EST (6 p.m. PST). We give it three years to turn into a whole ass award show.

Random, but we’ll take it.

Amazon has finally confirmed the details about Amazon Prime Day 2019: The big day will start at midnight PST (3 a.m. EST) on Monday, July 15, and last until 11:59 PST on Tuesday, July 16 (2:59 a.m. EST on July 17) . Prepare to not blink for two days straight.

The summer shopping event feels just as engraved in our brains as Black Friday, so it’s always a shocker to remember that Prime Day has only been around since 2015. Somehow, in less than five years, Amazon has managed to get us just…

The Ticket Fairy is tech’s best hope against Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster’s dominance has led to big service fees, scalpers galore and exclusive contracts that some people argue exploit venues and artists. The approval of venue operator and artist management giant Live Nation’s merger with Ticketmaster in 2010 produced an anti-competitive juggernaut. The Department of Justice is reviewing allegations brought by Ticketmaster’s biggest competitor AEG that it pressures venues to sign ticketing contracts. Given its ubiquity, it’s become difficult…
